WhatsApp Starts Labelling Forwarded Messages
Do you usually send a “good morning” message to one person and then forward the same message to other WhatsApp contacts? So I have bad news for you.
The WhatsApp Beta began to warn if a message is forwarded. This appears to both the sender and receiver.
It is worth noting that the app does not issue any warning to the originator of the original message. In fact, it does not even show who the author is – it only displays the “Forwarded” warning. The novelty is in version 2.18.179.
According to the sources close to WhatsApp, this warning appears even for those who do not have WhatsApp Beta installed on platforms like Android and iOS.
If you want to resend a message without placing the “Forwarded” prompt, you can simply manually copy, paste, and send it to the desired recipient.
We saw that WhatsApp was preparing a “Forwarded many times” warning to combat spam and chains. This may be the first step in implementing this feature. Of course, I just hope this does not serve as a stimulus for people to pass on messages.WhatsApp was preparing a “Forwarded many times”.
As usual, the most used instant messaging application, of course, WhatsApp is implementing something that Telegram already had. When you resend messages, the recipient sees the message “Forwarded message” and the name of the original author.
