Malaysian Apple reseller's clearance sale brings close to 11,000 people to KL mall, prompting cancellation due to huge crowds
A Malaysian Apple reseller's store was thronged by thousands of customers after the store put out an advertisement to sell Apple products at low prices.

The clearance sale from 2 to 4 March offered demo iPhone, MacBooks and iPads. The sale gathered 11,000 people at the outlet which led them to cancel the sale due to security reasons. According to the store website, the clearance sale has been put on hold until further notice.
The Apple store called 'Switch' thanked all the customers who came to buy the iPhones. The post said, "We sincerely would like to thank our customers who came from other states, woke up early, stayed up all night, braved the traffic and temperature at night, and are trying your best to stay in line at our clearance event." The store had put an advertisement about the sale at its 30 outlets across the country.
The prices offered by the outlet for various products included MacBook Air 11-inch for RM 2,799 (approx Rs 46,600). A 32 GB Apple iPhone 6 in Gold colour was offered at RM 1,399 (approx Rs 23,300). Whereas, the recently launched Apple iPhone X 64 GB was priced at RM 4,899 (approx Rs 81,593) and the 256 GB version of the iPhone X was offered at RM 5,649 (approx Rs 94,084).
